Qualifications: Bachelor of Speech Pathology, University of Queensland, 2014.
I have been working in private practice since becoming a speech pathologist, and have gained experience working with children with a range of different abilities. I have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and supporting their families, and have worked with children between the ages of 2 to 18, for speech, language, stuttering and literacy intervention in clinic, school and home settings. My clients really look forward to coming to speech therapy each week as I have a fun and functional approach to therapy.
One of my special interests is working with culturally and linguistically diverse children. I have had the opportunity to provide speech pathology services on Brisbane’s south side, working with children who are learning English as a second language. I am also passionate about working with children with speech sound difficulties and have completed training in Cued Articulation – one of the many tools that can help children to develop their speech.
I find working as a mobile therapist at Boost Therapy very rewarding, visiting children in a familiar environment in which they are most comfortable in. I believe that it is extremely important to educate and involve parents in the assessment and therapy process as they spend the most time with their children and it is so helpful for us to work collaboratively when setting goals for kids.
