Qualifications: Master of Speech Pathology, Griffith University, 2015
Since graduating I have worked in private practice and community health settings. I have
also been lucky enough to gain experience in a range of metropolitan, rural, and remote
areas such as: Brisbane; Kingaroy; Kilcoy; Tara, Mt Isa; Normanton; Cairns; and various
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Cape York. I loved working with small
communities and believe that these opportunities have helped shape my holistic approach to
assessment and intervention. I particularly value the opportunity to work with parents and
teachers to maximise a child’s enjoyment and ability when participating in everyday
I have extensive experience and a particular interest in working with children and youth with
complex difficulties such as: Autism Spectrum Disorder; attachment disorders; and early life
trauma. However, I also enjoy working in all areas of children’s speech pathology including
literacy, speech sound disorders, language, and fluency/stuttering. I especially enjoy getting
to know each child and their interests, and incorporating personal aspects into therapy
sessions. I love working with children and their families to achieve the goals that are most
important to them, and sharing the joy that comes from every achievement.
