Qualifications: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, University of Queensland, 2008
As a paediatric Occupational Therapist I have been lucky enough to work in a number of diverse settings. My passion for working with children and their families began when I worked in remote North West Queensland, for a charitable organisation.
Working in Brisbane over the past 8 years, I have worked with many children recently diagnosed with autism within the private sector and worked in the community for Queensland Health with children with concerns in the areas of self care, school readiness and sensory processing.
I enjoy working with families and especially love hearing the joy in parent’s voices as they tell me about their child’s progress. My areas of special interest include working with children with autism and children with difficulties with sensory processing or with school skills including handwriting. I am always looking for opportunities to build on my skills as a therapist and regularly attend workshops to continue gaining knowledge about the most recent research-based therapy techniques.
