Thank you for your interest in referring your patients to Boost Therapy. We consider it a privilege and a pleasure to be a part of your patient management. We offer evidence-based speech pathology and occupational therapy services, and the convenience of visiting clients at their home, childcare centre or school.
We can sometimes work with younger infants, though this depends on the services required. For children with a diagnosed disability requiring input from an occupational therapist or speech pathologist, we can provide services for families when children are around 9 months and older. Please call us on 0418 357 750 to discuss your patient’s needs.
Our speech pathologists and occupational therapists can undertake assessment for children with suspected ASD in order to aid your differential diagnosis. For these referrals, we strongly suggest that clients fund a comprehensive report following assessment to allow us to effectively communicate our assessment findings to the referring doctor.
We generally do not promote our involvement in the assessment of paediatric feeding and swallowing due to the specialised nature of this area of practice. We suggest that you contact the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital for referral information or use Speech Pathology Australia’s Find a Speech Pathologist function to find a private therapist with a special interest in paediatric swallowing/dysphagia.
Please note that we do work with toddlers and children who display fussy eating without evidence of dysphagia.
Although we welcome clients with a Medicare plan referral, we are unable to bulk bill for services. Due to the mobile nature of our service and the fee structure associated with this, the current Medicare benefit does not make bulk billing viable for us. Our fee schedule is available here.
At the present time, our therapists are not registered providers for Mental Health Plans. To find an OT who is registered to accept mental health plans, we suggest that you use Occupational Therapy Australia’s Find an OT function. Speech pathology is not included in Medicare mental health programs.
