We collaborate with local community organisations and are proud to be a part of the positive work that they do. Read on for more information about our community partnerships.
Access Community Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides settlement, employment, training and youth support services to migrants, refugees and mainstream clients. They operate throughout Queensland, with particular emphasis on Logan City, Ipswich and Gold Coast.
Access runs a ‘Community Hubs‘ program throughout Logan City (and other locations nationally) that links families & their preschool children to services and support, learning opportunities and the wider community.
We work with Access in their Community Hubs programs, providing speech pathology and occupational therapy services with a difference. Our speech pathologists and occupational therapists work within the community hubs in order to help identify children who require support with the development of their early childhood skills. Our therapists also provide training and education for the hub leaders and Access staff, and help to provide families with the tools they need to support their children at home.
The community hubs are attended by families from a diverse mix of cultures and backgrounds. We believe that the work Access does with families in the Logan community is integral to children’s health and well being, and we are proud to be a part of just one of their many inclusive programs.
